Looking for a healthy, hands-on Easter activity?

This festive vegetable bunny face is a wonderful way to encourage little ones to explore fresh foods while getting creative. Simple to assemble and full of colourful veggies, it’s the perfect centrepiece for your Easter celebrations.

We love combining creativity with healthy eating - and this adorable edible bunny face is a fantastic way to do just that! Designed to be both fun and nutritious, this activity encourages little ones to explore different vegetables, practise fine motor skills, and take pride in creating something delicious together.

What You’ll Need

  • Hummus, cream cheese, or mayonaise
  • Black olives (halved)
  • Cherry tomato
  • Celery sticks or asparagus
  • Pita bread or crackers, sliced cucumbers, or red peppers
  • A selection of fresh vegetables such as broccoli, carrot sticks, radishes, and red pepper strips

Steps to Assemble

Face Base: Spread a thick, even layer of your little ones dip of choice onto a round plate or serving board. This creates the bunny’s face and provides a tasty base for dipping the veggies.

Add the Facial Features: Place two halved black olives for the eyes and a cherry tomato in the centre for the nose. Use thinly sliced celery or asparagus to create whiskers. This is a great step for encouraging little ones to practise careful placing and pattern recognition.

Create the Ears: At the top of the plate, arrange pita bread or crackers, cucumber slices, or red pepper strips to form long bunny ears.

Fill and Decorate: Surround the bunny’s face with a colourful selection of vegetables such as broccoli florets, carrot sticks, radishes, and pepper strips. Not only does this make the platter bright and inviting, but it also offers plenty of healthy dipping options.

This cheerful vegetable bunny makes a wonderful addition to Easter celebrations. It supports healthy eating habits and most importantly - makes  vegetables exciting and fun!
