A Rainbow Fruit Plate: A Fun, Healthy Treat for Little Ones

A simple, baby- and toddler-friendly recipe that encourages healthy eating through colour and play

Our rainbow fruit plate is an easy, nutritious activity that supports healthy habits, fine motor skills and sensory exploration for little ones.

It’s fully adjustable to suit different ages and stages.

We love finding ways to make healthy eating fun and engaging. A rainbow fruit plate is a wonderful, baby- and toddler-friendly activity that introduces children to a variety of colours, textures and flavours in a gentle and playful way.

To create your rainbow fruit plate, choose your little one’s favourite fruits - banana, pear, apple, strawberries, blueberries and kiwi all work well. Arrange the fruit in a rainbow order to spark curiosity and encourage children to explore. For babies, fruits can be mashed, puréed or steamed, while toddlers may enjoy small, bite-sized pieces they can pick up themselves.

This activity is easily adjustable to suit dietary needs, preferences or allergies. Fruits can be swapped, cooked to soften them further, or served with yoghurt. Or why not swap out some fruits for some veggies? Avocado, carrots and cucumber all work well too.

A rainbow fruit plate supports healthy choices and independence - all while being colourful, fun and delicious!
