With the hot British summer in full force, there's nothing better than a refreshing ice cream. You can make this delicious frozen dessert (or snack!) at home using just a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 250g frozen sliced ripe banana
- 250g frozen strawberries
- Optional: 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup for extra sweetness
Method
- Ensure bananas are sliced and strawberries have had tops removed
- Place the frozen banana and strawberries into a food processor or blend with hand blender
- Add the maple syrup if you'd like a sweeter flavour.
- Blend until the mixture becomes thick, smooth and creamy.
- Enjoy straight away as a soft-serve ice cream or freeze for 30–60 minutes for a firmer texture.

- Swap strawberries for raspberries, blueberries or mango
- Add a spoonful of natural Greek yoghurt for an extra creamy texture
